Lyrics:

Tá coinnle an linbh Íosa ag soilsiú inár dtreo,
I bhfuinneoigín aolteach fanfaidh Muire go ló,
Seo féile na saoithe, na mbocht, is na mbrón,
Seo aoibhneas inár gcroíthe; seo síocháin is só.

Cloigíní binne san oíche do chling,
Féiríní aoibhne na Nollag dá roinnt,
Ceolta cruit síomhar ag aingil dá seinnt,
I mainséar den tuí bhuí tá Íosa go doimhin.

Seo Féile an Rí Bhig, seo féile bheidh buan,
A sheas tríd na haoiseanna is go lá lom an Luain,
Guím Nollaig dheas aoibhinn, gach sí agus suan,
Ar chairde mo chroí-se, go sroicfidh siad cuan.

Translation:

The candles of the child Jesus are shining towards us,
In the window of a whitewashed house Mary will stay until daybreak,
Here is the feast of the wise, of the poor, and of the sorrowful,
Here is joy in our hearts; here is peace and ease.

Sweet-sounding bells are ringing in the night,
The beautiful presents of Christmas are shared out,
Peaceful harp music is played by the angels,
Jesus lies deep in a manger of yellow straw.

Here is the Feast of the Little King, a feast that will last,
It has stood through the ages, and will until Judgment Day,
I pray for a lovely Christmas, with every peace and contentment,
For the friends of my heart, may they reach safe haven
