Lyrics:
Tháinig na saoithe i ndiaidh an réiltín,
Ag triall ar an naí ina luí sa chliabhán.
Shléachtadar síos is buíochas ina gcroí,
Agus d’adhradar Íosa, a rí is a bhfáidh.
Glóire don Athair agus don Mhac,
Agus don Spiorad Naomh!
Thugadar dó mar chomhartha onóra,
A mbronntanais chóra, ór túis agus miorr.
Ghlacadar scéal ó theachtaire Dé,
Is ar a mhalairt de raon do ghluaiseadar soir.
Glóire don Athair agus don Mhac,
Agus don Spiorad Naomh!
Translation:
The wise men came following the star,
To visit the infant lying in the cradle.
They bowed down with thanks in their hearts,
And they worshipped Jesus, their king and their prophet.
Glory to the Father and to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit!
They gave to him, as a sign of honour,
Suitable gifts, gold incense and myrrh.
They received a message from the angel of God,
And they went back east by a different road.
Glory to the Father and to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit!
