One of my best pals from college is Rachel Lerner. Herself and her husband, Nate, visited me for a week and we had a magical time visiting castles and megalithic monuments and such. While they were staying with me, I woke up with this tune in my head. It’s very simple, except for a very prominent, repeated accidental in the second part; as such I think it could be a good piece for harp students to learn their first lever move. Between the visitors and the pedagogical possibilities of this piece, I couldn’t resist the title ‘The Lerner Lever’! 🙂
